Description[]
The Officer class is a specialist class in Centaura, able to rally friendly soldiers. They are equipped with a revolver, a sabre, and a whistle. This class can be chosen at any time, has a selection limit of 2, and requires 50 points to spawn as.
The Officer is a strong close-quarters class, equipped with a rapid-firing revolver and powerful sword. In many ways, the Officer serves as a side-grade of the Rifleman, with generally better CQC capabilities compared to the basic class, but having worse accuracy overall.
Strategy[]
- While revolvers (similar to Rifles) are capable of instantly killing enemies in close quarters and killing in two shots further out, its inaccuracy and long reload makes it slightly more difficult to use than the rifle. Try to use it more carefully and be aware of your position.
- Revolvers with speedloaders can be used more aggressively due to the much faster reload speed.
- The sabre is an extremely potent melee weapon. Use its extended reach to kill enemies inside tight spaces or to outrange enemies using Clubs.
- Try to get behind enemy lines or in the thick of fighting, where your kit allows you to thrive up close and personal.
- Using the Whistle while near a large group of friendly soldiers will initiate a battle cry. You can use this to rally an attack or charge against enemy positions. This is reinforced by their immunity to suppression and a 20% damage resistance when the whistle is blown.
- Whistle effects stack, so both Officers blowing their whistle in the same group provides a stronger buff.
