Medic is a standard class in Centaura.
Description[]
Medics are responsible for healing their teammates on the frontlines. They are equipped with a rifle, a club, and bandages. This class can be chosen at any time, has a selection limit of 3 and does not require any points to spawn as. The rifle that you spawn with can be changed if you own any one of the Theater Veteran badges.
The Medic maintains the same potential for offensive actions as the Rifleman, in addition to its stated role of healing. As of version 3.6.3, medics have a personal passive healing (+ 2 HP/Sec), meaning a Medic can stay in the fight longer than a regular Rifleman. However, they cannot heal themselves with their bandages. They also can see which teammate is in need of healing below 70 HP.
Strategy[]
- Always use the bandage to heal your injured teammates as soon as possible.
- Prioritize who to heal first; Frontline specialists or groups of injured teammates should go first before backlining specialists or a single rifleman.
- Medics can play independently while fighting enemies, capable of picking their fights and disengage to live another minute.
- It is advised to not be aggressive when fighting; medics are as vulnerable as everyone else, without a bayonet, and can save an entire group of teammates in a pinch, which has more impact than killing enemies.
- Push forward with the riflemen on the front of the fight, that way you are there to heal when they need it. Keeping them in the fight longer can lead to an easier victory.
Trivia[]
- The Medic has two related Badges: Conscientious Objector and Feeding the Fire.
