Wiki Regulations

Below is a list of regulations integral to the editing and format of the Centaura wiki. Please read and follow them to ensure a streamlined and pleasant experience for everyone.

Regulations

1. Requirements for creating a page
   • The information in the page is related to the game and possess necessary/practical information; any information that is trivial in matters does not need a page of its own.
   • Although it cannot be controlled, please use the best grammar available.
   • Use the format predesigned on other pages. Any format of pages that is not uniform with the other pages will be remade. If you have any suggestions for changes to existing formats or a new format (abide a professional design), feel free to contact a wiki staff member.
   • All pages must comply with the wiki rules.
   • Please use the tools fandom have to offer to create a quality page.
   • Do not be overly verbose; present your information in an understandable and concise manner. Good vocabulary is promoted, but do not use it unnecessarily.
   • Use official/game resources at best. Fanart/creations are allowed if the resources are not available, but they must be identified as unofficial depictions.
   • Fact check with developers in the Discord before posting statistics.
   • Do not spoil the wiki pages with unnecessary quotes (mostly discouraged to write quotes).
   • Must be readable in both light and dark mode.
2. Requirements for editing pages
   • Rephrasing, grammar checking and updating statistics are allowed and promoted.
   • Redesigning the format of a page is highly discouraged unless with proper reason and professional design. If there are any suggestions for changes, please feel free to contact a wiki staff member. We will revert any changes if we deem it unnecessary or unpractical.
   • Trivia/Tips additions
     • Trivia relating to lore, game design and history is allowed.
       • Lore/Individual pages with any lore on the wiki must be significant to the overall world building or individual page; But do not add/create anything that does not have any importance, these include graphic war crime depiction, extreme violence/gore, traumatic events, and trivial lore (hair length lore, specific lore of social order, cricket lore, etc).
     • Adding tips is promoted however there are several requirements.
       • Tips must be practical and helpful.
       • Tips must be reasonable.
       • Tips should be at best presented from someone with experience or from community experience.
   • Addition of media related to the page and complies with wiki rules is promoted, however if the resource is already present, do not replace it unless it is of an inferior quality. Feel free to add images to galleries.
3. Pages that are working in progress, deleted/removed content
   • Add '{{Stub}}' to any work in progress page.
   • Add '{{Removed}}' to any page with content that is removed.

Type Changer

To change the different headings, simply click and select your choice. Headings are used to divide different categories while subheading and its spawns are used to divide it into topics.

Media

You can insert a media with the media button. You can take our vast gallery of resources, or you can upload your own files (no malicious files) and paste it on a wiki page. Media must be relevant to the topic. Media name should also be relevant to the source so that it will be easier to reference back to.

Example 1: Image shows a man blowing a bag pipe; hence it should be named "Bag Piper" before being uploaded to the fandom.

Example 2: Image shows the roman statesman Cicero; hence it should be called "Cicero".

Example 3: Image shows a bust of roman statesman and general Caesar; hence it should be called "Caesar Bust"/"Bust of Caesar"; note if resources overlap in name, feel free to add a number behind it.

If you want to insert a media unrelated for your user page, please change the name to the format.

Any media without this format would be regarded as unrelated to Centaura.

Insert Tools

You can use the insert tools like Infoboxes, Galleries and Tables.

Gallery

Gallery allows you to put pictures of relevance* while saving space and appeal for your wiki page.

Table

If you want to put data into tables, feel free to use the tools. Tables allow a fluid flow of information while keeping the page appealing.

Modes

You can change your mode from Visual to Source. Source mode allows you to edit the page in more in depth through coding.

Infobox

Using the infobox to convey information is suggested. By using the insert tool, use an info box pre-made (you can make one however it must be useful). Plotting the information and placing them in the wiki.
