CIS Kaitos[]

CIS Kaitos

CIS Kaitos

CIS Kaitos is an Imperial Cetan Navy 'steelpot' (dreadnought) battleship, she is a stubby but mighty ship known for its devastating broadsides. Almost as wide as it is long. Her Hull shape unsuitable for speed, functions more as a stable artillery platform. A Cetan naval veteran known as Michael Forrest, would serve on Kaitos until choosing to retire at Blackton to open up a Veteran's Saloon.

CIS Mira[]

Fang-Class Battleships[]

Fang-class1

AIS Fang

Four of Antares' Fang-Class battleships make an appearance on Bastião Ventoso, their names being AIS Fang, AIS Iota, AIS Rho, AIS Apollyon, and AIS Alya respectively. Each of them has 8x 305mm(12inch) guns divided amongst 4x dual turrets, with a secondary armament of 28x 127mm(5inch) casemates (14 per side), though only the mains of each ship will be used to provide fire support as the casemates are out of range. Due to the ship's unique turret layout, the port-side turret can only fire starboard (and vice versa) when all the ship's deck-mounted lifeboats are deployed; because of this, Iota, Rho, and Apollyon only have 3 of their 4 turrets providing fire support, as they have not deployed their lifeboats.

AIS Rho was sunk by Vegan coastal batteries during the bombardment on Bastião Ventoso.

Assuming that Forma uses the same international maritime signal flags as in real life, the AIS Fang is currently signaling the letters “XID”. The meaning of this message is unknown.

Airships[]

Gridlock Airship

A Corvun Airship in Capri Valley

First used in the Southern Corvus War, airships were put into action as reconnaissance and mothership aircraft. Corvus airships were particularly used as flying aircraft carriers, holding up to eight fighters in one airship. Later in the war, airships would be used as high-level bombers which fighters of that period could not reach.

After the Southern Corvus War, Antares took an interest into airship development for their own use during their campaign. The main problem with airships was its fragile construction and flammability. As a result, more modern designs of combat airships included armor plates of bare minimum thickness on the bottom side of the balloon. These armor plates would be able to block 25mm high explosive shells while being only placed on the bottom to deter ground-based anti aircraft and to conserve weight. Armored airships were relatively slow, but they could fly well above the clouds.

The Antareans used three different classes of airships:

  • Bomber airships carried twice the bomb load of normal medium bomber aircraft and had armor plates.
  • Carrier airships were completely unarmored but held up to twelve bombers/fighters.
  • Gun airships were the most modern design, equipped with twin 85mm quick-loading guns in a few ball turrets. These also had the same armor layout as bomber airships but were faster due to the removal of excess bomb weight.

Airplanes[]

In Route 23, Antarean biplanes fly periodically across the map, but do not attack enemy forces on the ground. They are likely to be early surveillance planes, probably related to the AA gun fire seen in Ascendēns Forest . They are seen flying in flights of four. Rumours are also about NPC Planes in The Vegan Campaign. This rumor has been confirmed, with an official image posted on the Murus Plateau page. More information will be given as it’s released.

Trucks can be found on every map in-game as a static decoration. They are often used as cover.
